My Bio
With over 32 years of experience in and around the Real Estate industry, James Staake brings a unique blend of mortgage expertise, real estate investing knowledge, and hands-on home renovation experience to every client he serves.
James began his journey in the mortgage industry in 1994 as a Loan Officer in San Diego, working for Millennium Financial under the mentorship of respected broker Robert Kisling. During those early years, he developed a deep understanding of the lending process and what it truly takes to help families secure the right home financing solutions.
In 1999, James expanded into real estate investing and house flipping, where he spent nearly two decades buying, renovating, and transforming homes. Through that experience, he developed a sharp eye for identifying properties with strong equity growth and long-term value potential — knowledge he now shares with his mortgage clients to help them make smarter home-buying decisions.
In 2018, James founded Your American Flag Store, a family-owned business dedicated to crafting handmade solid wood American Flags. In 2020, he relocated his family to Tennessee.
In early 2026, James decided to return to his real estate roots and become a Mortgage Loan Originator, and committed himself to helping first-time home buyers, growing families, and real estate investors navigate the mortgage process with confidence, honesty, and real-world experience.
Today, James combines decades of mortgage knowledge, real estate investing expertise, and entrepreneurial leadership to help his clients make informed decisions and create lasting financial opportunities through homeownership.
